This New YouTube TV Channel Is Designed to Help You Relax

Everyone needs to take time out to relax occasionally. And to help you do that, YouTube TV has a new channel running 24/7 that’s designed to help you chill out and unwind for a few minutes (or hours).

YouTube TV Launches a 24/7 Zen Channel

In a post on the YouTube TV community, YouTube announced a new channel dedicated to helping you relax. Called “Zen Channel,” this channel runs 24/7, bringing you endless moments of zen.

Anyone familiar with YouTube TV will be familiar with its occasional ad breaks where you’re invited to, “Enjoy the Zen”. The Zen Channel is a continuation of that theme, with all of those moments of zen that act as ad breaks lumped into one continuous stream.

These moments of zen were originally added to YouTube TV to fill the ad breaks that played when there weren’t any advertisers. But they proved so popular that viewers started asking for more. And now YouTube has delivered.

To access the Zen Channel, just open YouTube TV and search for “Zen” or “YouTube TV Zen”. You can just do this every time you want to take a moment to relax, or add it to your Custom Live Guide for easy access.

Once done, you can expect to see penguins waddling about in the snow, people ice skating, polar bears doing whatever polar bears do, and more besides. But we assume that the content will change with the seasons.

Watching Relaxing TV Is Good for the Soul

Most of us live extremely busy lives these days. And even when we’re supposed to be relaxing, we then stare at our phones, doomscrolling bad news and dumb views on social media. All of which means that proper relaxation time is at a premium.

It might seem strange to then seek out something relaxing to watch on a screen, but it’s an underrated way to unwind. Even if you don’t have access to YouTube TV, you’ll be able to find similar content on other streaming services or regular YouTube.

I’m literally writing this with a crackling fireplace playing on my TV courtesy of Netflix. And it isn’t only making me more relaxed, it’s making me feel warmer too.
