Ranbir Kapoor along with his family recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to invite him to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor, which is commencing from 13th to 15th December. Apart from Ranbir, his sisters Kareena Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, mother Neetu Kapoor along with Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan and more were present during the event.
A video from the Prime Minister’s Office has revealed how the Kapoor family interacted with PM Modi and their experience during the meeting. Ranbir in the video can be talking about how the family was nervous before the meeting. He said in Hindi, “It’s a special day for the Kapoor family. PM has honoured Shri Raj Kapoor by giving us some of his precious time. We are thankful to the PM for this meeting and we had a great time interacting with him. We also had the chance to ask some personal questions.
He also added, “Unhone bohot hi friendly nature se baat ki. I think humare andar jo nervousness thi, aur hum sab ki hawa tight thi. Lekin, he was very good and made us all feel very comfortable. I really thank him.”

Meanwhile, actress Kareena also said, “It was my dream to sit next to PM Modi and talk to him. His energy is so positive and he is truly a global leader.”
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has also shared photos from their special meet and greet. Talking about Raj Kapoor, she wrote, “Mr. Raj Kapoor’s impact was truly global. He marked his footprint all across the world with the movies he made, the stories he told. Yesterday was such an honour to be invited by our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to spend a lovely afternoon commemorating the life and legend of Mr. Raj Kapoor.”
